Marguerite Cunningham

Marguerite Parks Cunningham, age 88, of 837 Shannon Rd., Asheboro died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Randolph Hospital. Mrs. Cunningham was born November 12, 1922 in Pine Grove, WV to Guy and Ethel Morgan Parks. Mrs. Cunningham worked for Westinghouse and General Electric Company during World War II. After raising two children, she spent 23 years with the Montgomery County, Maryland school system as a Principal's secretary. She moved to Asheboro in 1990 and was a member of Christian Homemakers Sunday School Class at Central United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Tom J. Cunningham; son, John Cunningham and his wife Pattie of Laurel, MD; daughter, Susan Cunningham of Asheboro; grandchildren, Kevin Cunningham of Silver Spring, MD; Katie Cunningham West and her husband Eric of Silver Spring, MD, Jennifer Cunningham and Tommy Cunningham both of Laurel, MD, Kristin Cristaldi of New York City, NY, Keary Cristaldi and Courtney Cristaldi both of Laurel, MD, James Cristaldi of College Park, MD; great grandchildren, Madison and Aiden West both of Silver Spring, MD. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mark J. Key officiating.
