Margie Elizabeth Jones

Margie Elizabeth Jones, age 93, of Troy died Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at FirstHealth Moore Regional, Pinehurst.

Mrs. Jones was born August 13, 1925 in Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of the late Sherman Mabe and the late Alpha Stevens Mabe.

She was employed by Spring Mills as a Machine Operator for 44 years. Margie was known to be very family oriented. She enjoyed working her Word Find puzzles and working in her flower garden. She was a member of Guiding Light Baptist Church and loved reading her Bible.

She is survived by two daughters: Betty Brady and husband Johnny of Troy, NC and Peggy Solomen of Troy, NC; one son: Robert Jones and wife, Julie of Foxfire Village, NC; four grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren; one sister: Trula Greene of Biscoe, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Clarence Jones; brothers: Kermit Mabe, Quinton Mabe, and Roy Lee Mabe; one sister Irene Greene.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 12:30 - 1:45 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC, and at other times at the home of Betty Brady. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home Chapel, 211 North Main Street, Troy with Pastors Mark Medlin and Clyde Allen officiating. Burial will be in Biscoe Cemetery, Biscoe.
