Mrs. Margaret Walton Milks formerly of 1011 Redding Rd., daughter of the late E.T. Walton and Ruth Poole Walton, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Susan Mitchell and Rev. George Roberson. There will be no burial service. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm and following the funeral service. Mrs. Milks was a graduate of High Point College and a retired teacher, having taught in Randolph and Mecklenburg Counties. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton H. Milks, and brothers, James O. Walton and Harold M. Walton. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Cecilia Milks of Mooresville, NC, sister and brother-in-law, Nina W. and Martin Lodge of Columbia Station, Ohio, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nephew, James M. Walton and his wife Janice of Franklinville, niece, Margaret Ann Walton Ward of Asheboro, and many other extended family. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 224 N. Fayetteville St., Asheboro, NC 27203 or to Asheboro Public Library, 201 Worth St., Asheboro, NC 27203.
