Margaret Secoy Militzer, age 54, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.
Margaret was a native of Bennington, Vermont and was employed as a Registered Nurse in the Randolph Hospital Maternity Department since 1998. As a nurse, she had great compassion for her patients and was always very professional in her career. Margaret had a love for her animals, enjoyed riding her Harley and quilting baby blankets. She was a loving mother, Nana, wife and great friend to all who knew her. Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Margaret Militzer.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Militzer; daughters and their husbands, Morgan and Matthew Cranford of Asheboro; Sara and Dan Carmen of Schnecksville, PA; grandchildren: Robert Carmen, Katherine Carmen, Kendall Cranford; parents, Roger and Frances Secoy of Sunderland, VT; sisters: Leah Zinn of Shaftsbury, VT; Beth Cousino of Bennington, VT; brothers: Paul Secoy of Sunderland, VT; Roger David Secoy of North Bennington, VT.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 22, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Groome officiating.
