Margaret Luck Maness

Margaret Irene Luck Maness, age 89, of Asheboro died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Maness was born in Troy on April 15, 1926 to Houston and Mittie Parks Luck. She was a charter member of Fayetteville Street Baptist Church in Asheboro where she was a Sunday school teacher. Margaret was formerly employed with General Electric and provided after school care for children for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Tracy James Maness. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Maness Cribb of Asheboro; sons, Larry Maness and wife Ginger and Barry Maness and wife Krista all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Robbie Auman, Myra E. Auman, Ryan Auman, Kelly Maness and wife Candy, Heather Ayers and husband Chris, Blair Maness, and Damon Maness all of Asheboro; 5 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Maggie Cox and husband William of Ramseur, Peggy Bailey and husband Ron of Seagrove, Joyce Jessup of Asheboro, Irma Stone of Asheboro, Carol Maness and husband Robert of Asheboro; and brother, Robert "Bobby" Luck and wife Bonnie of Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro and other times at the home of Barry and Krista Maness, 1413 Richards Circle, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church, 901 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
