Margaret Parker Harris

Margaret Parker Harris, age 84, of Lexington passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Thomasville Medical Center. Mrs. Harris was born in Wilkes County, NC on May 26, 1932 to Flate and Amanda Tedder Parker. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Denton. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Harris, brother, Eugene Parker, sister, Dorothy Leonard, and grandson, Benjamin Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn H. Allen and husband Parks of Lexington; son, Royal Howard Harris and wife Kaye of Lexington; grandsons, William Allen and Jonathan Allen and wife Nina all of Lexington; great grandsons, Macon Parks Allen and Marcus James Allen both of Lexington; sisters, Mabel Church and husband Max of Elkin and Gwendolyn White and husband John of Wilkesboro; brother, Andrew Parker and wife Gayle of Wilkesboro; and sister-in-law, Nell Parker of North Wilkesboro. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 24, 2016 from 9:30-10:55 am at Fairview United Methodist Church, 5629 Old Highway 109, Lexington, NC 27292. Funeral services will follow Saturday at 11:00 am at Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Sandy Young officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
