Margaret Ann Cox-Horton, age 80, of Asheboro passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Ann was born in Ramseur on May 26, 1937 to Earl Dewitt and Lucy Mae Julian Cox. She was employed as an office clerk and bookkeeper for over 40 years and was employed with Regional Consolidated Services for 15 years. Ann loved her church, Central United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her stepfather, Cicero Myrick, half sister, Maxine Brown, and half brother, Bill Kennedy. Ann enjoyed hymns and country music.
She is survived by her husband, Bill R. Horton; stepson, Harold Horton of Myrtle Beach, SC;
sister, Virginia Richardson and husband Don of Asheboro; half sister, Mary Dee Fowler and husband Herb of Minnesota; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main Street, Asheboro with Dr. J.F. Howard Sr. and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating.
