Mrs. Margaret Allen Cox Nance, 90 of Asheboro passed away peacefully Tuesday February 4, 2025, at the Randolph Hospice House after an extended illness. Mrs. Nance was born October 26, 1934, in Asheboro to Earl and Vera Cox. She attended Asheboro High School and went on to attend Woman's College in Greensboro (UNCG). She later married Max Nance June 20, 1954, where they had 3 children.
Mrs. Nance is survived by 2 sons Thomas Reid Nance and Ray Nance. One daughter Anne Yount (Tom). Mrs. Nance is also survived by 5 grandchildren Dustin Nance, Aubrie Nance, Matthew Hunter, Kendall Yount and Sydney Yount. She was preceded in death by her husband Max Nance who passed away in 2005.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church Asheboro and the Christian Love Sunday School Class at the church. Mrs. Nance volunteered at Our Daily Bread and at the Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
