Marcia Miller

Marcia Hipp Miller, age 76, of Asheboro died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Miller was born February 15, 1940 in Duplin County to Herman and Laura Harrell Hipp. She was a talented singer and pianist. Mrs. Miller was also a very creative sculptor and had a great love for horses. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Norman "Tommy" Miller and sisters, Mary Beth Lail and Iris Lee. She is survived by daughter, Angela Miller Hogan of Asheboro, Felicia Dawn Nelson and husband David of Asheboro; son, Chris Miller of Lexington; grandchildren, Rachel Ann Hogan, Tyler Hogan, Allen Hogan all of Asheboro, George and Evan Miller both of Salisbury, Kyle Nelson of Asheboro; sister, Molly Burrow and husband Scott of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Friday, January 13, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynda Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
