Mae Staley Overton

Mae Florence Staley Overton, age 89, formerly of Troy died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehab Center, Albemarle. Mrs. Overton was born May 28, 1924 at Troy, NC the daughter of Alexander and Anna Dell Hollingsworth Staley. She was a member of Forks of Little River Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Marie Andrews Dunn. She is survived by two sons: Jesse Overton of Troy and William C. Overton of Candor; one sister: Myrtle Haywood of Biscoe; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main St, Troy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2pm at Forks of Little River Baptist Church, 2356 Okeewemee-Star Rd., Troy with Rev Billy Roy and Rev. Danny VunCannon officiating.
