Mae Self

Mae Inman Self, age 91, of 5423 Branson Davis Road, Sophia went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Clapps Nursing Center, Inc., Asheboro. Mrs. Self was born June 17, 1916 the daughter of Manuel and Molly (Harrison) Inman. Mae was a native of Guilford County and a retired seamstress with Laughlin Hosiery Mill of Randleman. She was a member of Sophia Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School there and at other churches for more than 60 years. She was a dedicated Christian lady and blessed many as a faithful prayer warrior and through her card ministry. She was preceded in death by her husband Berry Self in 1977. She is survived by: son and his wife, Billy and Nancy Self of Sophia, NC; son and his wife, Ronald and Pat Self of Sophia, NC; grandson and his wife, Steve and Sandy Self of AK; grandson and his wife, Mike and Sandy Self of Sophia, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Shelia and Perry Brown of Randleman, NC; granddaughter and her husband, Vicki and Gary Trotter of Sophia, NC; granddaughter, Kelly Self of Randleman, NC; 11 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and one brother: Bill Inman of High Point, NC The funeral will be Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Sophia Baptist Church, 4082 Millikan Rd., Sophia with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 7-9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman and other times at her home in Sophia.
