Mae Cox

Virginia Mae King Cox, 98 of Zoo Parkway, formerly of Pisgah Covered Bridge Road passed away on April 20, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents Rufus and Clara King, her 5 sisters, and her husband Charlie W. Cox. Mae enjoyed crafts. She had a feisty, independent personality with love for everyone. She is survived by son Lanson Cox and wife Rebecca, daughter Ann Pope and husband Walter, son Donald Cox and wife Cathy all of Asheboro. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Moore and husband Jeff of Asheboro, Dean Cox and friend Robin of Asheboro, Mark Cox and wife Sabrina of Columbia, SC, Sharon White and husband Bill of Asheboro and great grandchildren, Crystal White, Matthew White, Haylee Moore, Evan Cox, and Alex Cox. The family will hold a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home on Monday, April 23. A graveside service will be held at the Lucas Family Cemetery on Cox Mill Road at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Bob Dowling.
