Mae Cooper Joyce

Rita "Mae" Cooper Joyce, age 98, of Asheboro died Friday, January 11, 2013 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation, Asheboro. Mrs. Joyce was born May 26, 1914 the daughter of Patterson Monroe and Martha Dillon Cooper. Mrs. Joyce was a native of Rowan County and formerly worked in textiles. She was of Methodist Faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Joyce, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her brother, Hubert Cooper of Asheboro and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Dwayne Lester officiating.
