Lyde Bernice Delk

Lyde Bernice Nance Delk, age 90, of 1797 Hunt Delk Road, Denton died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point. Mrs. Delk was born July 28, 1919 in Denton, NC the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Hall Nance. She was a native of Randolph County and a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church where she was a member of United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, Astor Delk; son, Alton Delk; and grandson, Derrick Delk. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great Grandmother. She is survived by sons: Richard Delk and wife Donna of Denton, NC, Dempsey Delk of Asheboro, NC, Henry Delk and Wife Barbara of Denton, NC; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, June 28, 2010 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 4:00 pm at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, 7594 Jackson Creek Rd., Denton with Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating.
