Lula Marie Garner

Lula M. Garner, age 79, of 933 Cliff Road, Asheboro died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mrs. Garner was born March 27, 1929 in Asheboro the daughter of Albert Wesley and Blanche Trotter Garner. Ms. Garner was a native of Randolph County, a member of Back Creek Friends Meeting and a home maker. In addition to her parents, Lula is preceded in death by her husbands, Roger D. Stockner and Carl F. Garner, sister, Peggy Rush and brother, Edward Garner. Ms. Garner is survived by daughter: Marie S. Miller of Asheboro; son: Preston and his wife Sherri Stockner of Mocksville; grandchildren: Beth Sands and husband Jerry of Ramseur, Lisa Weiss of Asheboro, Ben, April and Cristi Stockner all of Mocksville; great grandchildren: Daimen Sands of Ramseur and Tori Weiss of Asheboro; sisters: Dorothy McDowell and Alberta Threadgill both of Asheboro and Helen Garner of Denton. The family will receive friends Monday, December 29, 2008 from 1:30 to 2:45 PM at Back Creek Friends Meeting, 139 Back Creek Church Rd. in Asheboro. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at the church with Rev. Jon Reece officiating. Burial will be in Back Creek Friends Meeting cemetery.
