Lucy Lambeth Surratt

Lucy Lambeth Surratt, age 93, of Denton died Monday, November 16, 2015 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. Mrs. Surratt was born in Thomasville on November 25, 1921 to Ernest and Carrie Belle Crouse Lambeth. Lucy was a member of Farmer Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, James Ogburn Surratt and son, James Roger Surratt. The family would like to express a special thanks for the love and care given to Lucy by the nurses and staff of Mountain Vista Health Park. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Lockhart and husband Bill of Atlantic Beach, FL, Penny Elrod and husband William of Pompano Beach, FL, Gayle Cooke and husband Bart of Alabama, Jaimie Vuncannon and husband Steve of Denton, Vicki Lavendar and husband Charlie of Trinity; sons, Eddie Surratt and wife Sandy and Gordon Surratt and wife Sarah all of Asheboro; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and sisters, Lottie Miller and Nell Starrett both of Thomasville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 am at Farmer Baptist Church, 4566 Dunbar Bridge Rd., Asheboro.
