Lucy Frazier Maness, age 88, of Asheboro died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Genesis Meridian Center of High Point, NC.
Born November 24, 1927, Mrs. Maness was a native of Randleman where she graduated from Randleman High School and attended Kings Business College. Lucy was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she served a term on the church council and participated in WELCA and Prime Timers. She retired from Acme-McCrary Corp. Lucy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was very active and dedicated to her family, friends, and church. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Piedmont, Genesis Meridian Center, Homestead Unit, and her private caregivers for their compassionate and loving care.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Maness.
She is survived by son Jack Maness of Asheboro; daughter Barbara Wagner and husband, John of Thomasville; grandsons Jay Dale and wife, Suzanne; and Steve Dale; great grandson Nicholas Wesley Dale.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 1:00-2:00PM prior to the 2:00PM service at St. John's Lutheran Church, 505 S. Park St., Asheboro, NC 27203 with Rev. Doug Hefner officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Robbins, NC.
