Lucy Jane Williamson King

Lucy Jane Williamson King, age 88, of 279 Little River Road, Seagrove died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at her home. Mrs. King was born February 21, 1924, the daughter of Robert Washington and Beulah Florence (Owens) Williamson. Mrs. King was a native of Robbins, NC and was a faithful loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a Godly woman who attended Center Cross Baptist Church and enjoyed gathering with others to fellowship and share with others about the Lord. Lucy loved to garden, nurture her flowers, and cook for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Beulah Williamson, three brothers: James, Floyd and Clarence Williamson and a sister: Maudie Williamson. She is survived by her husband of 68 years: Clyde King, her children and their spouse: Wayne (Rhonda) King of Bennett, Danny King of Seagrove, Janice "Jo" Beitzel of Asheboro, Joyce (Doug) Wade of Asheboro, Charles (Debbie) King of Asheboro, Randy King of Bennett, Elaine (Tim) Beane of Asheboro and Darlene (Gary) Poe of Seagrove, 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and one sister Estelle Albright of Seagrove. The family will receive friends Monday, November 19, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1 :00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Center Cross Baptist Church, 1789 Center Cross Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Ron Copple officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
