Lucy Mae Cross

Lucy Mae Cross, age 82, of Asheboro died Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation. Ms. Cross was born in Randolph County on September 22, 1931 to Carl Franklin and Lucy Tysinger Cross. She was retired from Acme-McCrary Corporation after 35 years of service and was a member of Russell's Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her grandson Brad Dark. Lucy loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Bryson Dark and her husband Nick of Carmel, IN; grandsons, Rob Dark and his wife Jaymi of CA, Trent Dark of CA; great grandson, Andrew Dark of CA; brother, Carl Cross and his wife Bobbie of Greensboro; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 12:30-1:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Fonner officiating. Burial will be held in the Carmel City Cemetery in Carmel, IN. Due to the burial being held in Carmel, IN, the family requests that no flowers be sent.
