Sarah Lucille (Stout) Rumley of 535 Hwy. 42 South, Asheboro, NC died the 28th of March 2012. Lucille was the daughter of the late Fletcher and Eva Stout of the Moffitt Mill area. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Christian Homemakers Class, and United Methodist Women's Circle. She was employed by the War Department, Demobilized Personnel Records Branch, during World War II, Medical Secretary for the late Dr. Frank Edmondson, and the Randolph County Health Department. In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Clifton Rumley and her daughter Anna Rumley Deavers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Diana Rumley of Asheboro; one grandchild, Sarah Gabrielle Rumley; sisters, Lizzie Lowe of the Farmer Community, Laura Rumley of Greensboro, and sister-in-law, Penny Rumley of Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mark Key and Rev. Barry L. Queen officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. There will a reception held following the graveside service at New Hope Bereavement Center, 137 S. Park St., Asheboro. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave, Asheboro. Memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main St., Asheboro, NC 27203 or the American Diabetes Association, 222 South Church St., Suite 336M, Charlotte, NC 28202 or the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Mid-Atlantic Affilliate, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
