Lucille Faulkner Ferguson Morton

Lucille Faulkner Ferguson Morton, age 84, of Asheboro died Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Mrs. Morton was born August 27, 1935 in Norwood, NC, the daughter of Willie and Frances Haywood Faulkner. She was retired from Bossong Hosiery Mills after 30 plus years. She attended Bailey’s Grove Baptist Church until her health declined. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Elizabeth, Howard, and James Faulkner. She is survived by her sons, McKinnon Strickland, Jr. and his wife Pam, Terry Strickland and his wife Mary, and Steve Strickland and his wife Barbara, all of Asheboro; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Thornton of Asheboro; brothers, Everette Faulkner of Franklinville, Roger Faulkner of Asheboro, Ronnie Faulkner of Randleman, David Faulkner of Asheboro, and Richard Faulkner of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 31, 2019 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro and other times at the home of her son, 1836 Gold Hill Rd., Asheboro, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Wilburn officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
