Lowell Ellis Lanier

Lowell Ellis Lanier, age 80, Sophia died Friday, April 8, 2016 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Mr. Lanier was born September 22, 1935 the son of Edgar Ellis and Lora May Williams Lanier. Mr. Lanier was a native of Randolph County, a member of Marlboro Friends Meeting and a retired chicken farmer. In addition to his parents Lowell is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Davis Lanier, sisters, Emma Lou Farlow and Ola Mae Trogdon, brothers, Wayne and Clifford Lanier. Mr. Lanier is survived by daughter: Cathy Hunt and husband Mark of Sophia: son: James Lanier and wife Teresa of Randleman; grandchildren: Justin Hunt and wife Candace of Randleman and Amanda Hunt of Sophia; great grandson: Lee Hunt of Randleman; sisters: Zelma King of Asheboro, Betty Jean Hammer and husband J.C. of Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Marlboro Friends Meeting Cemetery, 2668 Marlboro Church Road in Sophia with Rev. Ray Luther officiating. The family will greet friends at the gravesite immediately following the graveside service. Memorials may be made to Marlboro Friends Meeting, 2668 Marlboro Church Rd., Sophia, NC 27350
