Louvene Maness Howard

Louvene Maness Howard, age 89, of Troy, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Howard was born May 24, 1928 in Robbins, NC the daughter of the late Lonnie G. and Lula Maness.

Mrs. Howard, lovingly known as "Goody", was a loving mother who loved the Lord and Trinity UMC. She sang in the choir for over 20 years. She loved reading her Bible, was a great cook, and enjoyed gardening and canning the vegetables of her labor.

Mrs. Howard was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Charles E. Howard; brother L. G. Maness; sisters Mary M. Siebel, Verness M. Beard, Madith Maness, and Marie Maness.

She is survived by two sons: Charles E. Howard, Jr. of Troy, NC and Joseph M. Howard of Apex, NC.

Burial will be Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Southside Cemetery, Troy, NC with a Memorial Service immediately following at Trinity United Methodist Church, 239 N. Russell St., Troy, NC.
