Louise Thompson Morris

Louise Thompson Morris, age 88, of 2073 NC Hwy 134N, Troy died Monday, July 27, 2015 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. Louise was born February 20, 1927 in Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of Marvin and Callie Sanders Thompson. Louise worked several years for Aileen Furniture and did sewing alterations for the public. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Troy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed by many. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years, Clem Morris. She is survived by her two children: Benson Morris and wife Janie of Troy, Carol Goforth and husband Charlie of Troy; four grandsons: Greg Goforth and wife Lisa, Michael Goforth and wife Jennifer, Chad Morris and wife Amy, and Brian Morris; seven great-grandchildren: Micaela Rush and husband, Tyler, Lauren Morris, Madison Morris, Avery Morris, Matthew Goforth, Miranda Goforth and Jake Goforth; one great-grandson: Brantley Luke Williams. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 N Main St., Troy. The funeral will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 412 Bell St., Troy with Pastor Mark Harper and Rev. Grady Blakely officiating. Burial will be in Southside Cemetery, Troy.
