Louise Underwood Redding

Louise Underwood Redding, age 86, of Asheboro died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Randolph Hospital. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Cross Road Baptist Church, 1566 Old Cox Road, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 2:00 pm at Cross Road Baptist Church with Rev. Gregg Arnold and Pastor Johnny R. Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park. Mrs. Redding was born in Randolph County on February 16, 1928 to Cicero and Roxie Coble Underwood. She was retired from Stedman's after 36 years of service. Louise was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband Eugene "Gene" Redding, son Grant Nelson, and sisters Gladys Cox, Mildred Melts, and Evelyn Jackson. She is survived by her granddaughters, Teresa Asbill and husband Rex of Asheboro, Tonya Hall and husband Jerry of Mt. Gilead; grandson, Timothy Marley and wife Jackie of Asheboro; great grandchildren, Mark Asbill of Charlotte, Brooklyn Marley of Asheboro; several nieces and nephews and extended family. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Redding family.
