Louise Mabe Poole

Louise Mabe Poole, 90 years old, of Asheboro, died June 1, 2016 at Carillon Assisted Living. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Charlotte United Methodists Church, 1182 Old Lexington Rd, Asheboro at the Fellowship Hall, on June 5 from 3:00 - 4:00. Louise was a member of Charlotte United Methodist Church. She retired from Black and Decker in 1987. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, canning and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon A. Poole and son Kenneth A. Poole. She is survived by her daughter, Libby Howey of Fort Mill, SC, her son Lynn Poole of Asheboro, daughter-in-law, Sylvia Poole of Kernersville, NC, grandchildren, Darrell Gallimore, Beth Conner, Alex Poole, Julie Spence, Shannon Grable, and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, James Mabe, Mike Evans and sister Marcelene Schwegler. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th floor, New York, N.Y. 10001. Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Poole family.
