Louise Greene Needham of 3293 Staley Farm Rd., Asheboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 15, 2010. She was always a great inspiration to her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church in Troy with Rev. Jake Yarborough of Eden, her pastor, Rev. Tim Poindexter of Asheboro and her assistant pastor, Rev. Bernie Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Needham was born and raised in Montgomery County in the Pekin area. She was number twelve of fourteen children. She was a hairdresser most of her life and a witness and Singer for Jesus all her life. She started a singing group called "The King's Kids" in 1980 with her brother, Marshall Greene and several nieces, nephews and friends. They were a blessing everywhere they went, because they were anointed by God himself. Mrs. Needham was a member of God Outreach Ministries of Asheboro and a former member of Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church in Troy. Mrs. Needham was preceded in death by her first husband, C. L. Brady of Troy and her second husband, Bobby Wesley Needham of Asheboro; her parents Maston and Ada Greene of Troy; sisters, Mamie Thomas, Pauline Goforth, Marie Burchett and Vada Goforth; her brothers, Frank, Carson, Russell and J. C. Greene and Albert Ussery. She is survived by her only daughter, Deborah Shaw and her husband Rick Shaw of Asheboro; one and only grandson, Cody Shaw of Asheboro; sister, Shirley Freeman of Troy; brothers, Marshall Greene of Randleman, Lester Greene of Monroe, David (Jr.) Greene of Troy; step daughters, Juanita Gordon, Judy Burroughs, Connie Bush all of Asheboro; 5 step grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren and 1 step great great-grandchild; her best friend of over 58 years and like our second family, Ethel Saunders of Asheboro and her son Roger Saunders and his wife Denise of Troy. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 6-9 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro and other times at her home.
