Louise Poole Crouse, age 79, formerly of 702 Avondale Ave., Asheboro died Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Clapps Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.Mrs. Crouse was born February 23, 1929 the daughter of Clinard Harrison and Betty (Wallace) Poole.Louise was a native of Asheboro and a graduate of Asheboro High School, Class of 1947. She attended Duke University, Queen's College and High Point College. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She was a minister's wife and performed many duties in various Methodist Churches over the years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Rev. Kenneth Dewey Crouse and her brother: Phillip C. Poole. She is survived by two sisters: Delores P. Burton and Hilda P. Pickett both of Asheboro, NCThe family will receive friends Saturday, January 3, 2009 from 11:30 - 12:30PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The graveside service will be Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Dr. Mark J. Key officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro.The family would like to express their deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to all the Staff at Clapps Nursing Home for their tender, loving care and concern for Louise over nearly twelve years.
