Loretta Bonkemeyer Williams

Loretta Bonkemeyer Williams, 84, went peacefully home to be with Jesus on Thursday, June 11, 2015, surrounded by her family at Hospice House of Randolph County in Asheboro. Loretta was a member of Neighbor's Grove Wesleyan Church, Asheboro, where she enjoyed being involved with her Sunday School class, the Home Builders. Loretta was a kind and caring person, a loving sister, wife and aunt. She loved the Lord and her church. Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, which included many trips in the previous years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but will leave priceless memories for her loved ones to cherish always. Loretta was retired and co-owner of Bonk's Cleaners for 65 years. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Williams, and brothers, Edward and Bobby Bonkemeyer. Loretta was a daughter of the late Lucian and Corda Underwood Bonkemeyer. She is survived by her sisters, Lois Rumbley and husband Ray, Shelba Laughlin and husband Malcom; brothers, Donald Bonkemeyer, Charles Bonkemeyer and wife Linda; sister-in-law, Gretna Bonkemeyer, wife of deceased brother, Bobby; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 1:00 - 2:45 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wyatt Hoogkamp officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
