Loretta Kennedy Rollins

Loretta Kennedy Rollins, age 83, of Randleman, NC, died Thursday, May 23, 2013. She was born July 16, 1929, the daughter of Esther Kennedy. Loretta was a long time resident of Randolph County and a member of United Methodist Church of Central Falls, NC. She worked at Commonwealth Hosiery Mill, Randleman, NC for many years. She served as President of the Richard Petty Fan Club for a few years, and attended many races in that capacity. Loretta was a fantastic cook, and was her happiest cooking for her son, Mick Rollins, and his pals from the Randleman High School Tigers football team. Loretta was a kind and sweet mother and grandmother, known for her positive and friendly attitude. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Benford Kennedy, and a sister, Eva Mae Kennedy Earnhardt. Survivors are her son, David Michael Rollins, Sr. of Little Rock, AR; granddaughter, Shannon Rollins Horvath (Dan) of Memphis, TN; grandson, David Michael Rollins, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; and several cousins, nephews and nieces. There will be a private service to honor Loretta at Memorial Park Cemetery.
