Loren Shane Charles

Loren Shane Charles, age 38, of Asheboro died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Randolph Hospital. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A memorial service will follow on Sunday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Graydon Joseph Pelkey officiating. Mr. Charles was employed with Gardner Heating & Air in Asheboro. Shane was preceded in death by his son Christopher Michael Charles, mother Janet Charles Pelkey, maternal grandfather Douglas Charles, paternal grandfather Leonard Davis, and paternal grandmother Elizabeth Smith. He is survived by his wife, Alisha Bowman Charles; daughters, Ashlyn and Lauren Charles both of the home; sons, Austin N. West of Walton, KY, Austin T. Kleen of Kernersville; father, Dwayne Davis of Avondale, AZ; step mother, Cathlene Davis of Avondale, AZ; brothers, Graydon Joseph (Johnna) Pelkey of Cynthiana, KY, Todd Matthew (Michelle) Pelkey of Lexington, KY, Joshua (Amanda) Pelkey of Hanover, IN; sisters, Joleen Davis-Fajardo of Avondale, AZ, Tiffany Davis Fennemore of Avondale, AZ; grandmother, Lida Bea Charles of Owingsville, KY; aunt who helped raise Shane, Lorene Charles Turner of Berea, KY; mother-in-law, Julie Dalton of Carolina Beach; father-in-law, James Poindexter of Asheboro; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
