Lola Mae Davis Owen

Lola Mae Davis Owen, age 70, of Asheboro passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation of Biscoe. Mrs. Owen was born in Asheboro on February 20, 1947 to Wesley and Ethel Voncannon Davis. She was employed with Kayser-Roth for 34 years and Faith Book Nook for 14 years. Lola was a member of New Life Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Owen, brothers, Arnold, Winfred, and Ray Davis, and sister, Maxine Cooper. Lola loved her fur babies, Thumper, Sweet Pea, and Oreo. She was a fun loving, caring, and sweet person. She is survived by her brother, Rev. Clay Davis and wife Barbara of Seagrove; sister, Clara D. Hoover and husband Wiley of Seagrove; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow on Friday at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clay Davis and Rev. Ralph Voncannon officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
