Lola Hamilton Hill

Lola Grace Hamilton Hill, age 96, of 3754 Old Courthouse Road, Sophia, formerly of Troy died Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem. Mrs. Hill was born March 2, 1909, the daughter of the late Nathan Spencer and the late Lydia (Callicutt) Hamilton. Mrs. Hill was a native of Montgomery County , a homemaker and member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. Lola was preceded in death by her husband: Brantley Harris Hill. She is survived by and three sons and their spouse: Junie and Blanche Hill of Sophia, NC, Gilbert and Frankie Hill of Troy, NC, Robert and Gwen Hill of Asheboro, NC; three daughters and their spouse: Rose Ashworth of Asheboro, NC, Arlene and Pat Freeman of Troy, NC, Grace and Sonny Murray of Asheboro, NC; seven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; one sister: Jellycee Voncannon of Asheboro, NC and half Brother, Nathan Hamilton of Troy, NC. The family will receive friends Monday, June 27, 2005 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC, one hour prior to service at church and other times at the home of Junie Hill 3754 Old Courthouse Road, Sophia. The funeral will be Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Hwy 134 North, Troy with Rev. Arlen Johnson, Rev. Vernon McDaniel and Dr. Ron Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Memorial Baptist Church, Hwy 134, North, Troy, NC.
