Lois Hill Madlene Joyce

Lois Madlene Hill Joyce, age 81, of Asheboro died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Joyce was born June 8, 1931 in Denton, NC. She was retired from Sew Special and formerly attended Calvary United Methodist Church. Lois loved working in her yard and around the house, as well as spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Grace and Clarance Hill, sister: JoAnn Maness; brothers: Earl Hill and Allen Hill. She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Bernard Eugene Joyce, daughter: Patricia Joyce Gordon and her husband, Mark, son: Wayne C. Joyce and his wife, Danette all of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren: Brad Joyce and his wife, Angie of Statesville, NC and Greg Park and his wife, Megan of Asheboro, NC; two great-grandchildren: Lincoln Park and Avery-Anne Joyce, sisters: Nettie Morris, Linda Cook and Joyce Lambeth. The family would like to express a special thanks to Cathy Patterson and the staff of Community Home Care and Hospice for the care given to Lois. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Dr. Ron Hamilton officiating.
