Lois Dickens

Mary Lois Kindley Dickens, age 81, of Asheboro went to be with her Savior Thursday, August 12, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 4:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Gessner, Dale Kennedy, and Charles Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Lois' first love was Christ, her Lord. She fellowshipped at Grace & Truth Assembly. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She loved her garden and shared its bounty. She is survived by her daughters, Josephine Gessner and her husband Tim of Pittsboro, NC, Frances Kennedy and her husband Dale of Asheboro, NC, Brenda Arnold and her husband Dan of Franklinville, NC, Doris Carter and her husband Charles of Franklinville, NC, Angie Staley and her husband Tim of Franklinville, NC; son, Charles Dickens and his fiancée Maggie of Palmer, AK; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; sisters, Edith McElreath of Asheboro, NC, Stella Edwards of Asheboro, NC; half brother, William Kindley of Florida; and half sister, Juanita Hollifield of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 13, 2010 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
