Lizzie Lowe

Lizzie Stout Lowe, age 97, of Asheboro died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Science Hill Friends Meeting, 2421 Lassiter Mill Road, Asheboro with Rev. Michael Fulp officiating. Burial will follow in the meeting cemetery. Mrs. Lowe was born on September 30, 1916 in Coleridge, NC to Fletcher and Eva Beane Stout. She was formerly employed with Burlington Socks of Asheboro and was a member of Science Hill Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents, Lizzie was preceded in death by her husband, N.M. Lowe, brother Joe Mack Stout, and sister Lucille Rumley. Lizzie was very dedicated to her church, family, and community. She is survived by her son, Nereus F. "Pete" Lowe and wife Judy of Clayton, NC; daughter, Susan White and husband Ed of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Angela Dawn Marlette and husband Jason of Laurens, SC, Brent Acker and wife Erika of Nashville, NC, Stephen White and wife Rebekah of Pullman, WA, Chuck White and wife Brittany of Durham, NC; and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
