Linden Travis Minton, age 69, of Asheboro died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem.
Mr. Minton was born May 22, 1949 in Tazewell, VA the son of Alden and Mary McCall Minton. Linden was a proud, strong willed family man with a very loving, giving heart. He was a hard worker, avid fisherman, and a leader. Linden retired from Custom Extrusions after 23 years of dedicated service, was a car enthusiast, especially of Mustangs and enjoyed traveling to the mountains. He always enjoyed Christmas time, being with his family and his mother's chocolate cake. Linden is preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years; Wanda Lucas Minton; daughters, Aimee Minton of Asheboro and Teresa Lynn Cummins of Floyd, VA; grandchildren; Kennedy Minton, Kyle Smith, and Nicole Smith all of Coleridge; brother, Titus Minton and wife Lisa of Franklinville; sisters; Karen Williams and husband Cliff of Franklinville, and Mary Varney and husband Stan of Ramseur; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Lucas and wife Gail of Randleman, and Ronnie Lucas and wife Nancy of Franklinville; extended family, Haylee Smith and Ilona Fenech.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Stan Varney officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
