Linda Talley Sparkman

Linda Talley Sparkman, age 58, of 3109 NC Highway 109 N, Troy died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at her home.Mrs. Sparkman was born September 1, 1950 in Macon County, NC, the daughter of Harry and Fannie (Watson) Talley. Although born in Macon County, Linda lived most of her life in Montgomery County. She was a homemaker, a member of White Crest Baptist Church, and active with Guardian Ad Litem. She was a board member with CFAC of the Sandhills. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Fannie Watson Talley. Linda was a loving mother and "Nana" She is survived by one daughter: Heather Sparkman and fiancee, Scott Threadgil of Troy; one son: Timothy David Sparkman of the home; three sisters: Evelyn Dennis and Janice Lemons, both of Troy, Carolyn Talley of Asheboro; one brother: Dewey Talley of Eleazer; 2 grandchildren.The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 pm at White Crest Baptist Church, 1051 River Rd., Mt. Gilead with Rev. Danny Laws officiating.
