Linda Mae McDowell

Linda Mae Barker McDowell, age 64, of 4257 Old High Point St., Randleman died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mrs. McDowell was the daughter of Johnson and Evelyn Rich Barker. Linda was a native of Randolph County and a member of Russells Grove Baptist Church. She was employed with Sun-Stations Tanning Salon. She is survived by her husband: Dalton "Big D" McDowell of the home; daughters: Christina and her husband Pastor Tim Fonner of Sophia, and Julie and her husband Mike Willett of Asheboro; sons: Shawn McDowell and his wife Jan of High Point, and Jeffrey McDowell of the home; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Fonner, Summer Lee, Corey Lee, Trevor McDowell, Derek Willett; 1 great grandchild, Emma Grace Fonner; sister: Wanda Underwood of Denton; brother: Bobby Barker of Randleman,. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and other times at the home. The funeral will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Russell's Grove Baptist Church, 5118 U.S. Hwy 220 Bus. South, Asheboro with Pastor Tim Fonner and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating.
