Linda Hodgin Lee Marquis, age 53, Passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Honolulu, HI of complications from a brain tumor.
Linda graduated from Randleman High School in 1974 and then pursued accounting classes at GTCC in Greensboro. Linda was a former sales executive who worked with Oxford Chemicals in Greensboro, Phillip Morris in Germany and Chicago, IL, and Coleman in Evergreen, CO. She retired to Holualoa, HI in 2000. She was an avid tennis player who served as president of the West Hawaii Tennis Association, served as a nationally rated tennis official for junior tournaments and line official in professional tournaments in Hawaii and Florida. Linda was also an avid gardener and was co-founder of the Holualoa Farmer's Market, growing and selling produce to local restaurants. She enjoyed life and has many friends and acquaintances who will miss her bright outlook and hunor. She is preceded in death by her parents, D.V and Stella Hodgin.
Linda is survived by her husband of 19 years, Steve Marquis of Holualoa, HI; sister, Barbara Jackson, of Greensboro; brother, Rick Hodgin and his wife, Jackie, of Randleman; nieces, Wendy Jackson, of Raleigh, Shelley Hodgin, of Randleman and Sandy Thompson, of Jamestown.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Level Cross United Methodist Church, with Pastor Fran Adams officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
