Linda Thornton Dumph

Linda Thornton Dumph, age 50, of 4217 Old Marlboro Rd., Sophia died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Hospice Home At High Point, High Point.A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 4:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe L. Farlow and Rev. Edward J. Arroyo officiating.Mrs. Dumph was a native of Randolph County, attended Central Carolina Community Church in Asheboro and was a nurse for 24 years at various nursing facilities in Randolph County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Eva Evans Thornton and her husband, David Dumph. Linda was a loving and devoted mother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time at the beach and the mountains. She is survived by daughters, Kasey Leigh Thornton of Level Cross, Christina Lynne Dumph of Asheboro, and son, Joseph Bayse Thornton of Asheboro; best friend and companion, Angie Baldwin of the home; sisters, Louise Rabon of GA, Ruby Shirley and her husband Lindsay of Randleman, Shirley Halsey and her husband Cecil of Level Cross; brother, Tommy Thornton and his wife Rachel of Randleman.The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00-4:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
