Linda Baldwin

Linda Story Baldwin, age 76, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. Ms. Baldwin was born in Asheboro on April 22, 1940 to Cecil and Mary Slack Story. She was formerly employed with the Kenan Insurance Group and was retired as a teaching assistant from Donna Lee Loflin Elementary School. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother Larry Story. Linda loved flowers, working with children, and most of all, being a mother. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Baldwin Miller and husband Danny of Raleigh; son, William Tryon "Ty" Baldwin III and wife Claire of Brooklyn, NY; sisters, Lurlene Millikan, Cecilia Walker, Tina Hopkins all of Asheboro; Lynn Walker of Cary; and her long term companion, Bill Hooker. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A memorial service will follow on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dean Pollard officiating. Inurnment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.
