Lillian Blakely Broadstreet

Lillian Blakely Broadstreet, age 81, of Asheboro died Monday, October 20, 2008 at Universal Health Care of Ramseur. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Ellerbe, NC with Pastor O. Ralph Kraft, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Broadstreet was a native of Richmond County, NC and was a graduate of Ellerbe High School. After 45 years of service she retired from Sprint as a Telephone Operator and Supervisor. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Rex Broadstreet. She is survived by her daughters, Martha Edwards of Asheboro, NC, Patricia Foland of Asheboro, NC, Trudy Farlow of Asheboro, NC, Judy Davis of Gulfport, MS; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Sandy Mitchka of Florida; brothers, Gary Blakely of Asheboro, NC, and Johnny Blakely of Thomasville, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of her granddaughter, April Christian, 1941 Oak Dr., Asheboro.
