Letha Meredith Gant

Letha Meredith Gant, age 103, of Randleman died Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Clapp's Nursing Center, Inc., Pleasant Garden.

Mrs. Gant was born July 15, 1914 the daughter of John Richard and Rosa Victoria Fox Meredith. Letha is a native of Avery County and attended Church of God Seventh Day in Randleman. She was formerly employed with Wee Sox and Mar-Mac Hosiery. In addition to her parents, Letha is preceded in death by her husband, Raeford Gant and her sisters, Florence Gant, Grace Adams and Ruby Lambert.

She is survived by her daughter: J. Carol Gant Moates (Bob) of Julian; son: Bill R. Gant (Carolyn) of High Point; grandchildren: Vicki Meetze Tuttle, Dale Gant (Joan), and Dean Gant (Amy);great grandchildren: Jaime Tuttle, Devin Gant, Ridge Gant and Dawson Gant; sister: Cora M. Kinder of Randleman; nieces: Jeanne Stewart, Linda Brown, Carolyn Harwell, Ellen Routh and Susie Strickland.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 12:30-1:30PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel, with Pastor Bill Harwell officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Clapp's Nursing Home in Pleasant Garden for their wonderful care and also a deep appreciation to Bishop Lewis for all his visits, prayers and thoughtfulness.
