Lester Max "Jake" Wicker

Lester Max "Jake" Wicker, age 63, of Randleman passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. Mr. Wicker was born in Randolph County on August 1, 1953 to Max and Gladys Stalker Wicker. He was employed with Sapona Manufacturing for 43 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother, Golda Wicker. Lester enjoyed vegetable gardening, farmed for many years, and was a family man. He is survived by his wife, Donna Ann Temkey Wicker; daughters, Angela Mullens and husband Brad of Randleman, Debbie Cooley and husband Bob of Randleman, Barbara Hathaway and husband David of Grovetown, GA; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Esther Marie Lewallen of Flint Hill; Valerie Housand of Randleman; and 2 nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Hwy 220 Bus. North, Asheboro with Pastor Jonathan Shook officiating.
