Leora Vaden Johnson

SEAGROVE--Leora Spivey Johnson, age 97, of Seagrove died on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Autumn Care of Biscoe. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro and other times at the home of her son, Mark Johnson. A graveside service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Tucker Family Cemetery with Elder B.J. Chriscoe officiating. A memorial service will be held on August 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall, Burney Road, Seagrove. Leora was baptized at age 24 in 1941. She was a dedicated baptized Jehovah's Witness for 73 years and spent many years working in the Door to Door Ministry. Leora touched many lives. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Johnson and wife Frances of Winston-Salem, Donald Johnson and wife Rachel of Thomasville, Mark Johnson and wife Gail of Seagrove; daughter, Linda Voncannon and husband Lawrence of Asheboro; brother, Jerry Spivey and wife Irene of High Point; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews of surrounding areas.
