Leonard Roberts

Leonard Roberts, age 88, of Asheboro, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Roberts was born in Randolph County on November 14, 1932 to Tom and Martha Collins Roberts. He was a woodworker who retired from B&H Paneling. In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Roberts, 6 sisters, and 4 brothers. Leonard enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and gardening.

He is survived by his children, Manuel Roberts (Cynthia) of Franklinville, Adonical Roberts of Asheboro, and Matilda Fisher (Billy) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Christina Jones (Randy), Mistie Hoover (Chris), Chad Roberts, Joshua Roberts (Hollie), Jennifer Roberts-Hill (Charlie), and Benjamin Roberts; and 13 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC and other times at the home of Matilda Fisher. The funeral will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro with Pastor Travis Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.
