Leona Catherine Johnson Carter, age 83, of 309 Freedom Dr., Asheboro died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. No funeral services are planned. Mrs. Carter was a native of Philadelphia, PA and a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters, Ellen Valentine Price of Asheboro, Janice Marie Carter of Las Vegas, NV; sons, John E. Sewell of Las Vegas, NV, Eugene C. Carter of Sylmar, CA; 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Arrangements by Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro.
