Leon Jarrell Rich

Leon Jarrell "Pete" Rich, age 75, of 3457 Stutts Rd., Asheboro died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Randolph Hospital. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 1:30-2:30 pm at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, 157 Sawyersville Rd., Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church with Rev. Darrell Rabon and Rev. Jeff Garner officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Mr. Rich was born in Randolph County on October 7, 1937 to Glenn and Annie Mae Jarrell Rich. In addition to his parents Pete was preceded in death by his 4 siblings. He was retired from the City of Asheboro and attended Sawyersville Wesleyan Church. Pete loved country music, old cars, and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Doris Hamilton Rich of the home; son, Rick Davis and his wife Gail of Asheboro; daughter, Tami Garner and her husband Worth of Denton; granddaughters, Kayla Davis of Asheboro and Danielle Garner of Denton.
