Leon Farlow Bulla, age 77, of Sophia died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Charlotte United Methodist Church, 1182 Charlotte Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Steve Wood and Rev. Angel Christ officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Bulla was born in Asheboro on September 9, 1935 to Henry and Elva Farlow Bulla, who preceded him in death. Leon served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was formerly employed with Acme-McCrary Corporation and Caraway Furniture. He also was a transporter for Dan Thomas Pontiac, Wayne Thomas Chevrolet-Cadillac and Strider Buick.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Spencer Bulla; sons, Spencer F. Bulla of Sophia, Ricky Bulla of Randleman; daughter, Ellen Bulla of Sophia; 2 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.
